Job Summary

Analyzing projects, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, preparing projects valuations, negotiating with various sub-contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or similar.
  • Have 2-3 years of experience
  • Have 28 and above years old
  • Males are encouraged to apply

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
  • Scrutinizing and analyse Bills of quantities of all contracts and advise on project viability
  • Liaising with site Agents/managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
  • Advising management on improvements and new strategies.
  • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
  • Documenting any changes in design and updating bills of quantities and capturing any variations.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Attending various sites meetings as required.
  • Doing timely valuations and measurements
  • Liaising with clients/external Quantity surveyors to ensure timely preparation of payment certificates.
  • In liaison with management, the projects coordinator, come up with budget allocations for various sites.
  • Payments follow ups
  • Following up on final accounts/ practical completion certificates for various projects and extension letters if any.
  • Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Coordinating/Preparation of tenders.
  • Tracking projects timelines and review with management in case of any delays.
  • Other duties assigned from time to time.
