PASTRY CHEF (Kshs20,000)

 Our client, in the hospitality industry is looking for cooks who are willing to learn and grow to join their team as Pastry Chef.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs
  2. Prepare a variety of baked goods
  3. Decorate and present pastries and baked goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
  4. Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment
  5. Meet with customers to discuss custom-made desserts or baked goods for special occasions
  6. Ensure the bakery section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations
  7. Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must have 1 year experience.
  • O level/ certificate in Hospitality Management/Culinary arts.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and follow recipes.
  • Familiarity with general kitchen equipments and applicancies.
