Our client is looking for an AUTOMOTIVE WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR, who will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained and repaired in accordance with the policies and procedures required by the Vehicle Workshops Manager. To effectively manage a team and ensure the provision of services within the department are in line with Service needs.

Job description

  • Manage operations of workshop.
  • Maintain and improve service level.
  • Educate and instruct mechanic to learn mechanic skills.
  • Estimate costs and time required for repair or maintenance of the vehicle.
  • To test and confer with customers to obtain description of vehicle problems and discuss the necessary work to be performed.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate the day-to-day running of the workshop. E.g. Writing work orders (Job sheet) and arranging mechanic to perform maintenance and repair work on vehicles.
  • Check the activities in the workshop, inspect completed work and draft reports to detect recurrent faults.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is returned to the owner in a clean condition.
  • Ad-hoc.

Requirement

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Good mechanical skills and leadership/operations skills.
  • Candidate with knowledge of various tools, equipment and procedures in workshops for troubleshooting and repairing vehicles will have an added advantage.
  • Good team player with good social and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and with a good working attitude.
  • DIPLOMA in AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING
